We want to inspire every home in America to be carbon neutral. Each of us can help spread the word by raising the issue of climate change with friends and family, but we are also grateful for some of the bigger voices speaking out on behalf of our planet. Who are these climate conscious celebs and what are they doing to help protect our planet? Let’s take a look at a few of the most powerful performers that are speaking up.

Despite the icy conditions and frozen waters leading to his character’s ultimate demise in the movie The Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio has been an advocate of climate resiliency for over 20 years.

He started his foundation, The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, in 1998 dedicated to the protection and wellbeing of all Earth’s inhabitants. The foundation focuses on supporting projects “that build climate resiliency, protect vulnerable wildlife, and restore balance to threatened ecosystems and communities.”

The foundation has awarded over $80 million in grants to fund over 200+ high-impact projects in 50 countries across five of the seven continents and all five oceans.

Beyond his foundation, Leonardo DiCaprio has been vocal in other public forums. He narrated and produced a documentary on the state of the global environment and consistently delivers speeches, and shares climate change awareness posts. He often focuses his support on the likes of other supporters like Greta Thunberg or causes like forestry conservation to his over 47 million followers.
